I am so excited! PTB starts in about three weeks! People are signed up and materials are gathered. Kids will get to make there mark in their neighborhoods as they gentify. It's funny to think of it that way. They are the ones who will be living in these neighborhoods after change has occured. They have to live with the decisions we make, so why not include them in the process. I hope to see folks come out to watch them work on making change on their block at Brownstone Books - 409 Lewis between Decatur and Mc Donough! See another example of an arts-in-education program where Japanese culture was explored by children living in Brooklyn. |
